I Am My Own Rescue!

I Am My Own Rescue!

I Am My Own Rescue.

This was the name of a challenge organized by Lisa Nichols in December 2015. The challenge was awesome, it was a pleasure to participate in it.

However, now I would like to focus just on this sentence.

I Am My Own Rescue!

No one can rescue yourself but you!So simple and so true.

Being your own rescue means taking action.

Being your own rescue means assuming the responsibility for your actions, reaction, decisions… for everything that happens to you.

Just think of how empowering it is: not needing to wait for somebody else to come and do something, to come and miraculously change your life, to come and save you from something or someone, but knowing absolutely and for sure that you have the whatever it takes to do it!

We are much stronger, much more powerful and brilliant than we think. If we allow ourselves to act, to take the risk despite our fear of failure and other self-limitations, the results will be incredible!

Wonderful, amazing abilities are hidden inside every single one of us and we are consciously blocking them by waiting for someone else to come to our rescue and to do something instead of us.

In addition, there is an old proverb that says that

you can bring a horse to a river, but you cannot make it drink.

Huge, isn’t it?

It brings us back to the beginning: no one, no matter how willing, loving, well-intentionned they are, no one can rescue us until we decide that we are worth being rescued, that we need and want to be rescued!

No one can rescue you but yourself!

P.S. I have been thinking of this for several days already; it came as a break-through thought. I went as far as ordering from Teespring T-shirts with this one sentence for me and for my loved ones. I want them to remind us this one nugget of wisdom that can change so many things.
