How it feels to hold a printed copy of your own book

31 Jan

I’ve always wondered how it felt for the author to hold a printed copy of his/her own book.

Well, finally I know…ImageFirst of all, it was hard to believe. I opened the parcel and took the book out with the usual excitement that tingles the insides when you open a gift. I held it in my hands, examining the cover, the touch and the smell of it. I thought ‘I like it‘. I opened it at random and read a couple of pages. Yes, I definitely like it. I put it on my table, where it is well seen from any part of the room.

It wasn’t until next morning that it actually hit me – this is MY book! This is the story I’ve written! OMG, it’s unbelievable!!! This realization made me breathless with joy. For some time I just stared at the book that was lying on my table in front of me. Then, very carefully and lovingly, I took it and hugged it. ‘I did it! I did it! I did it!

To celebrate, I’m doing another free promotion for the Kindle ebook version from February 1st till February 5th. Enjoy!
